Travelling....

As I've been out-and-about this week, I've seen many travelers.  Old. Young. Some zooming.  Some driving slowly.  Cars, trucks, semi's, motorcycles.  Everyone going somewhere.  Many wanting to get there FAST!

My favorite.... "happy-looking multi-tasking guy".  Driving his truck while talking on the phone.  And, pulling a really beat-up camper down County Highway K.  Flat tire on the camper slowly falling apart as the rubber met the road.

Big picture.... we are all travelers.  Traveling down the road of life, each of us at different points along the road.  Some traveling atop a high mountain peak, enjoying and savoring the joys of life.  Others traveling in a deep valley, struggling with the stresses, strains and disappointments that periodically accompany life here on Earth.  Some working their way through school.  Others working their way thru a career.  Some in the midst of a serious financial, medical, family crisis.  Still others cruising down "Retirement Road" after putting in years of work and service at their chosen career.

Where are you at?  What are you traveling toward?  If your current "road of life" had a name, what would it be?  ROCKY ROAD?  CONTENTMENT STREET?  STRUGGLING TO FIND MY WAY WAY?

No matter what road you're on, always be on the lookout for a better one.  Don't let fear, embarrassment or shame keep you from turning... rerouting... taking the exit... making the U-turn.

Life is too good to keep driving down the muddy dirt road.  Look for the pavement !
