Good Summer TV

here in the midst of summer, good stuff to watch on TV tends to get a little thin.  of course, since it's light outside until like 8:30, even close to 9:00, I limit my TV time and try to spend it outside instead.  weeding the garden.  bike ride.  watering the flowers.  sitting on porch swing.  get my drift?

so, the little bit of TV that I do get in I want to be valuable time spent.

some of my favorite TV this summer.....

Blackhawks games
of course, they are over now and a championship is in the bag.  what a rush!!  this was the first season ever (in 38 years) that I've followed hockey hard core, and what a season it was.

Cardinals games
baseball... the boys of summer.  America's game.  always fun to watch a winning team.

Shipping Wars
one of those reality shows that i find quite interesting, although i think it might be scripted rather than true reality.  it is neat to see all the weird stuff that people ship.

Huckabee
one of the top 5 people on TV today that i really feel i can trust.

Top Shot
i am by no means a hunter or marksman, but am fascinated by the diversity/craftsmanship of weaponry.  plus, the shots these guys are able to make is amazing.

Major Crimes
although the show isn't quite as good now as it was when Kara Sedgwick was "The Closer", any show with the Chief from Police Academy in it stands to be good.

American Pickers
love these guys.  if they are as genuine as the show makes them out to be.... very cool.

Naked & Afraid
we have only watched 1 episode so far, but it is quite fascinating.  we're trying to figure out how this whole thing can work..... quite an interesting social experiment.

Under the Dome
have also only watched 1 episode of this so far.  but, it's very interesting and involves Stephen King which always is creepy.

there are a few things I'm really looking forward to coming up later this summer/fall:

Bounty Hunters cartoon featuring Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and others

The Sing-Off's new season

Big Bang Theory's new season

Hell on Wheels (if Dish Network will ever give us AMC back -- ugh!)

and of course..... FOOTBALL !!

HAPPY WATCHING!!
