Summer: reflections on Half 1

our family is having a really good summer.  the fact that it hasn't been too hot (so far at least) has been a big plus.  all this week is gonna be highs ranging from 85 to 93, but considering it's July and this is Central Illinois, those temps are quite acceptable to me.

with summer break for the girls now half-over, I wanted to reflect on a few of the things we've been able to do, both individually and as a family.......

- swim lessons with the great Mrs. Carol and Mrs. Sabrina
- fun trip to Holiday World (see previous blog post about this)
- Six Flags (our oldest daughter)
- multiple sleepovers and playdates with friends
- karate lessons (middle daughter)
- softball season (oldest daughter)
- afternoon at the Macon County Fair
- volleyball camp (oldest daughter)
- youth group trip to Cardinals game (oldest daughter)
- library program
- fun family day up in Morris (see previous blog post)
- trips to Delavan to see Grandpa Fisher
- ADM family picnic with my co-workers
- Despicable Me 2
- fireworks at Maroa and Hopedale
- swimming at the neighbors (girls)

very busy.  but very fun.  it brings great joy to my heart to be able to see our girls involved in so many things.  and enjoying their summer.  and i am enjoying it also (more on that in an upcoming blog post)

can't wait to see what the 2nd half brings.....

out for now --
