Dumb Hunter and Undies Run

a few comments on some news items from today --

NFL season begins:
I'm watching game #1 of the year right now.  Broncos vs. Ravens.  Not really a fan of either team, but Peyton Manning (Broncos) is just a great quarterback.  Period.  When that football starts flying, it's a sure sign that Autumn is almost here.  Coming soon:  leaves flying.  Then snow.

McDonalds to Raise Value Prices:
Sounds like the majority of the Dollar Menu is gonna be gone soon.  Replaced with an assortment of $1-$5 items.  What  I read indicated that Mickey D's original Dollar Menu debuted over 10 years ago.  Wow, has it really been that long?  Wonder how many McChickens I've consumed in that time?  Yeesh.... probably about $567 worth.

Champaign Undies Run:
The 2013 "Underwear Mile" has been run on the U of I campus.  Participants... hundreds of them... pay $5 (which goes to charity), then strip down to their skivvies (or wear a funny costume) and run a mile across campus. I cannot imagine what this looks like.  Hoards of co-eds, male and female, in their Fruit of the Looms.  Running.  Bouncing.  Jiggling.  Can you imagine the scene?  And the body hair!!??!!??  Yeesh!

Russia Denied:
House Speaker Boehner was contacted by the Russian delegation wanting to discuss Syria.  "No thanks."  Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was contacted too.  "Thanks, but no."  Hey Russia.... DENIED !!

Decatur is #25:
Global Trade Magazine released its 2013 listing of top U.S. cities for global trade.  And, somewhat surprisingly, grand old Decatur has jumped up to #25 on the list.  Caterpillar, ADM, Union Iron, and.... get this.... Rural King.... are cited as the big exporters.  Rural King?  Really?  What they export, other than American jobs to produce all the cheap imported stuff they've got on the shelves?

Hunter's Fire Sparked Huge California Fire:
Idiot.

Out for now.....
