Timber!

so, if you're a fan of pop music, you know that one of the biggest songs in the world right now is one called "Timber".

sung by a funny little man who calls himself "Pitbull".  silly thing is, he doesn't really look pitbullish.  I'm sure there's some story behind the name, but I really don't care.

Mr. Pit has a guest with him on this song... the lovely Ke$ha.  If you don't know anything about her, that's fine.

Picture the new Miley Cyrus taking a dive off the deep end.  (Deeper than Miley's already dived.)  I'm sure Ke$ha was once a lovely girl, and may still be.  But it's hard to get past the "ho" makeup, slutty wardrobe, foul mouth, and lower-than-low morals.

All that aside, "Timber" is a very catchy song.  In fact, it's one of the biggest songs of 2013, topping charts and on many Top 5 lists.

But, what does it mean?  What is it about?

Lumberjacks?
Sawmills?
Paul Bunyan?

No, none of those.

Read some of these lyrics:

The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

These bigiddy boys, are diggidy dogs.

I have 'em like Miley Cyrus, clothes off,
Twerkin in their bras and thongs. (Timber)

Face down. booty up. (Timber)
That's the way we like to what (Timber)

I'm slicker than an oil spill.
She say she won't, but I bet she will. (Timber)

It's going down, I'm yelling timber.
You better move, you better dance.
Let's make a night you won't remember.
I'll be the one you won't forget.

Parents, that doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to figure out what Pit$ha (or Ke$bull??) is singing about.

You letting your kids listen to this party rave, get it on, on the floor crap?

One guy reviewed the song this way:

Here is why the use of the word “timber” works so flawlessly in this song. It’s going down. The night will end with someone face down, either hungover or from dance floor exhaustion. The night is eventually going down — you can’t stop gravity or the morning light, so live it up while you can.

Another added this insight:

For me, the phrase "It's going down!" means that whatever we had previously planned is expected to happen, or is currently happening/going on.

"It's going down!"
What's going down?

Timber.

What's "timber"?

It is the female equivalent to "lets get wired". The phrase "I am going timber" as active meaning of partying, drinking, dancing, while excluding smoking weed.

So Ke$ha wants to party.
Surprise surprise surprise.

Nice.

Don't miss the video, parents.

Beautiful stuff.

Not.

BTW, "timber" is also slang for "erection"... the Viagra type, not the Tinker Toy type.

Could be a subliminal meaning.

Let's hope not.

Out for now.
