"Legacy"
One of my favorite words.
Why?
Because all that we do while we walk the soils of this Earth comprise it:
- the relationships we form
- the lives we touch
- the successes we have
- the family we raise
- the differences we make
It's a beautiful word.
Our life.... the sum total of our life.... is our legacy.
I love reading what others write about the word legacy.
Saw a good blog entry today from one of the best writers of today, John Maxwell:
Although we’re certain to leave a legacy, it’s up to us whether goodness and love follows in our wake, or whether we leave a trail of heartache and pain through the way we conduct our lives. In consciously choosing to craft an inspiring legacy, we accept personal responsibility for our actions.
