Unionized Football
Back on January 28 here on MattChat, I wrote about the football team at Northwestern (Big 10) seeking to form a players union.
If you look back at that post, I believe the word I used was "poppycock".
Well, this week my poppycock was shattered when a ruling came down saying basically that those football players are employees of the university and can be unionized.
Wow! I did not see that coming. What an incredible change this could/will make for collegiate sports.

Remarkable huh? NCAA better make some drastic changes before this goes viral.
