Worst Company in America
This time of year, when the word "bracket" is mentioned, more often than not, it's being used in the context of the NCAA basketball tournament.
"The Worst Company in America"
You can read more about it here:
They even award a trophy to the winner -- The Golden Poo:
This year's contest started with these 40 companies:
Abercrombie & Fitch, Aetna, Amazon, American Airlines/US Airways, AT&T, Bank of America, Citi, Coca-Cola, Comcast, CVS, Delta Air Lines, DirecTV, EA, eBay/PayPal, Emeritus, Experian, Facebook, GM, JCPenney, Johnson & Johnson/McNeil, JPMorgan Chase, Koch Industries, Lululemon, McDonald’s, Microsoft, Monsanto, PepsiCo, Safeway, Sallie Mae, Sears/Kmart, SeaWorld, Ticketmaster/Live Nation, Time Warner Cable, Target, Verizon, Walgreens, Walmart, Wellpoint, Wells Fargo, Yahoo
8 were eliminated in preliminary voting (by the public), which left 32 for the bracket:
Voting is taking place on a daily basis. You can register your vote using that same link above.
EA (Electronic Arts) won the Golden Poo in both 2012 and 2013.
Will they three-peat?
If I was voting, I'd definitely have Sears/K-Mart in my top 3, plus Ticketmaster probably (even though I don't use them much). And, based on how many folks around Decatur talk about Comcast, they probably deserve to be there.
What about Dish Network? We use them, but they aren't very customer-friendly once they have you signed-up.
Our internet provider, New Wave Communications, is too small to compete in this contest. But, if they were eligible, I'd vote them as my personal #1. Customer service is bad, bad, bad.
Out for now.....
