I have a great fondness for my hometown.
So many great years. So many great memories.
(Am I in the minority on that? How many of you relish each opportunity you have to return to your hometown?)
Anyway.....
There's some great things going on in Kansas right now:
-A unified front to do everything possible to save the school district from closing.
-A Village Board who's really working hard to make some positive changes.
-A new ambulance.
-A team of individuals who have joined together to make various improvements around the Village. Beautification stuff. Small changes that really make a big difference.
One of those beautification areas is to breath new life into the Village's website.
They've got some awesome ideas of how to use the site as a real tool to support local business, promote growth, provide vital information, and foster communication between the Board and the residents.

It's so cool to see folks taking such an interest in making their home.... and my hometown.... a better place.
