Illinois Budget Toons
The Illinois legislature has recessed for the summer.
And the bozos, nitwits, fumblebutts, and ninnynoozes over in Springfield really did pretty much nothing to resolve the deficit and budget issues:
(AP) — Having given up on extending Illinois' temporary income tax increase — at least for now — the Illinois Legislature is moving forward with a scaled-back budget that could lead to layoffs, further delays in paying the state's bills and a post-election vote to make the tax hike permanent or generate some other source of revenue.
The House yesterday approved the approximately $35.7 billion 2015 spending plan, which key Democrats acknowledge relies on some of the same practices that got Illinois into financial trouble in the first place.
So, in recognition of those bozos, nitwits, fumblebutts, and ninnynoozes over in Springfield who have failed to do their job again this legislative session, here's a collection of cartoons which help illustrate exactly why our great state is a laughing stock around the nation:
We need representatives who care about Illinois. We need change folks. And it starts with the November election.
Think carefully about your vote.
Out for now.....
