On the way home from Wisconsin today, we stopped by a place I've wanted to visit for many years now.
The Rochelle Railroad Park, which is located smack at the intersection of 2 very busy rail lines (UP and BNSF):
At this park, they've set up a shelter and benches for train buffs (such as myself) to sit and watch the trains roll by.... as many as 6-8 an hour.... as many as 120 a day crossing the double diamond!
(see what I mean by very busy ?)
We were there for just 30 minutes today and saw 4 trains pass by! (SUPER LUCKY!!)
