Windowless Cockpits
I don't fly much, but this story really sends a shiver up my spine....
While passengers will have portals to gaze out onto lush green fields or snow-capped mountains, the flight crew will toil away in a windowless room. Computer displays — possibly wrap-around screens — will be the pilot and co-pilot’s window to the world outside the plane.
Cockpit moving to the belly of the plane?
Pilots flying by looking at video screens, like a simulator?
What about an electrical problem that renders those screens useless. Then what?
YIKES -- this seems to be taking auto-pilot to a whole nuther (much scarier) level.... I mean altitude.
