Stuck Grain

What a mess our nation's railroads are!

With the upcoming harvest out West (predominantly wheat), then the anticipated HUGE corn/bean harvest in the Midwest later this Fall, lots and lots of grain is gonna need moved.

There's 1 big problem though.

Lack of railroad equipment (engines) and capacity (rails) because of several things, the biggest being all the oil that's shipping out of Dakotaland.

I wrote about this back in May:

Here's an update:

If grain can't get to the millers, the cereal makers, the exporters..... our economy takes a hit.  A potentially HUGE hit.

And the grain sits around, large amounts on the ground under tarps.  Which leads to spoilage and waste.

Not good folks.

Out for now.....

Matt
