Hated Cardinals
The Wall Street Journal has somehow ranked the Cardinals as #1 in their "Major League Baseball Hateability Index".
Ridiculous!

Here's the criteria:
"Excessive Beards" is a category? seriously?
And we gain hateability for:
- being named best fans in baseball
- rooting for our team at other parks
- referring to ourselves as "CardinalsNation"
Come on!
(I think a bitter Yankees fan thought up this whole ranking system.)
I love how St. Louis mayor Slay responded:
