We went to the Ansar Shrine Circus over in Springfield this afternoon.
There were no lions or tigers.
But, there were performing housecats.
And bears, camels, and elephants.
No highwire act.
But, some amazing aerial gymnastics.
Plus, a "death-defying double wheel" act where 2 guys did some amazing stuff.
My 2 favorites were the illusionist couple who did multiple quick-changes of clothing and the grand finale where the guy was shot across the arena floor, landing in a big airbag.
We had taken the girls to a small circus up in Baraboo Wisconsin a couple years ago. But this was their first "big one", and we all had a great time.
And I didn't get scared by any of the clowns.
