Person of the Year

So, so glad to see that those fighting on the frontlines of the Ebola plague were named as Time Magazine's "Person of the Year" for 2014.

Read about their choice here:

I know there was a movement taking place in the background to try and get the Ferguson protestors recognized.

However, Time Mag already recognized "Protestors" as Person of the Year back in 2011.

Plus, the Ferguson protestors were poorly organized.

And were somewhat blinded to reality by a media intent on delivering only half-truths.

And were really wound-up by some hotheads in the bunch who were making the situation all about a personal vendetta.

And the protestors really did a disservice to themselves by not immediately stepping-up to assist officials in identifying those intent on rioting rather than peacefully protesting.

(There is a huge difference between a "rioter" and a "protestor", folks.)

If those loonballs who were breaking windows, stealing TVs, and torching buildings (many of whom came from outside the St. Louis metro area) would have been identified and turned away from Ferguson prior to the release of the grand jury's decision, things would have turned out much differently.

Instead, Ferguson burned.
And anger burned.
And our country suffered some mighty black eyes.

Hate won out.  And it didn't have to.

Shame on the protestors.
Shame on the media.
Shame on America.

Out for now......
