This was the homework reading assignment book that our 2nd grader brought home tonight:
She and I took turns reading pages. And I will admit that it was an interesting (albeit outdated) read.
For her though, it was a real struggle.
Not because she is a struggling reader. But rather because some of the words were so challenging.

Big words for a little second-grader.
I checked online to see what the grade level equivalent for the book is: 3.9.
OK..... that said, she read it just fine.
