Spotted this cool sight on the grounds of Decatur Memorial Hospital:

It's a mini-glacier!

Amazing how a little fountain spray and some cold weather can create such a neato thing like this.

At first, I wondered why they left the fountain on during the winter.  

Then I realized that there are likely fishies in that pond.  

And the fountain is keeping the pond from freezing over, giving the fish a better chance to survive the harsh Illinois weather we're having this year.

Harsh?  Well, not really.  So far, this has been a real weenie of a winter.

Lucky for the fish.

Out for now......
