Lego Tops Ferrari
GO LEGO GO!
"In its annual ranking of the world's most powerful brands, a British consulting firm has crowned Lego master brand builder. Lego, which has been making the iconic plastic building sets since 1949, scored highest in Brand Finance's 'brand strength' index, which measures factors such as familiarity, loyalty, promotion, staff satisfaction and corporate reputation to determine brand power."
Yup, you read that right.
Of all the brands in the world, Lego has been ranked "most powerful".
To me, it is absolutely fascinating that a toy has beat out giants like Apple and eBay. But when I think about it, Lego is much more than just a toy for kids. There are adults all over the place who Lego as a hobby.
It's one of the few "kid toys" around that has successfully become a sensation for adults as well.
And it's even cooler when you consider this:
"Lego’s story is one of coming back from the brink: the company struggled in the 2000s, almost falling into bankruptcy before consolidation and consistency brought the brand back in force."
So Lego was #1.
What about the other most powerful brands?

And more on the story:
Kudos to Lego for really rebounding and building themselves into this position.
