Most Romantic U.S. Cities

Just in time for Valentines Day, Amazon has released a list of the TOP 20 MOST ROMANTIC CITIES IN THE U.S.

The way they determined their list is quite interesting.....

"by compiling sales data of 'romance' products - everything from erotic fiction and relationship books to romantic comedies and Barry White CD's.  Oh, and also the sales of sexual wellness products."

Since Amazon is such a huge retailer with an enormous catalog of stuff for sale, I would think they are very well positioned to release a list like this.

So, without further ado, here's the Top 20:
20. Erie, PA
19. Gainesville, FL
18. Wilmington, NC
17. Billings, MT
16. Salem, OR
15. Springfield, MO
14. Broken Arrow, OK
13. Everett, WA
12. Pittsburgh, PA
11. Las Vegas, NV
10. Murfreesboro, TN
9. Round Rock, TX
8. Columbia, SC
7. Dayton, OH
6. Cincinnati, OH
5. Vancouver, WA
4. Alexandria, VA
3. Orlando, FL
2. Miami, FL
1. Knoxville, TN

Note that the rankings are based on per-capita sales in cities with at least 100,000 people.  Meaning small places who might be filled with suave romatics are not gonna make the list.  And the "per-capita" deal would exclude the biggest of the big cities, no matter how horny/randy the population might be.

Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Washington locations made the list twice, with Florida having 3.

But alas, none from Illinois.

We must not be that romantic.
And/or, we do all our romantic shopping at Wal-Mart.

Out for now......
