I made our 2nd grader cry tonight.
Regarding a comment I spoke about her piece of art:
I said something to the effect of "great job... is that a potato?".
Whoops.
It's not a potato.
The task from the art teacher was to do a self-portrait of what she thought she'd look like at age 100.
OK..... so now I know to phrase my question differently next time.
And not make suggestions that refer to taters.
Or spuds.
