Perfect Madness Bracket

For those who enjoy NCAA basketball, the mighty grand finale is just a few days away now.

The madness.

March Madness.

I try to watch the Tournament Selection Show each year, but it's been years since I've actually filled out a tournament bracket.

For those that do get into "bracketology", did you know that your odds of filling out a 100% correct bracket are less than 1 in 9.2 quintillion?

That's a big number, folks.

Like 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 big.

According to DePaul University Mathematics Professor Jeff Bergen:
It's more likely that the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox will win the next 16 World Series games, he said. Or that someone will win the Mega Millions lottery two times in a row buying one ticket both times. Or just as likely that someone will pick the winning party of each presidential election through 2264.

Wowzas, eh?

And if you do fill out a bracket this year, best of luck.  Warren Buffett was willing to pay $1 billion bucks last year for a perfect bracket (http://money.cnn.com/2014/01/21/news/companies/buffett-ncaa-bracket/).  Maybe he'll do it again?

Feeling lucky???

Out for now.......
