Our 2nd grader came home with an assignment to build some type of simple machine and bring it to school.
Here is what we ended up with:
This is an old Construx set that we borrowed from Mom and Dad. It was actually my brother's set from childhood.
(if you don't remember much/anything about Construx, check this out:
As you can see, we helped her put together a crane that has a couple of pulleys.
A pulley being one of the simple machines.
So..... mission accomplished!!
It would have been so much, SO MUCH more difficult to build this with Legos; I'm very, very glad that Mom let me know the Construx were still at their house.
