Vacation-planners.... listen up!

Smithsonian Magazine has released their list of "20 Best Small Towns to Visit in 2015".


Using a variety of criteria, and looking only at towns with populations less than 20,000 people, this is the list they came up with.......

20. Vernal, Utah
19. Homer, Alaska
18. Stowe, Vermont
17. Custer, South Dakota
16. Thibodaux, Louisiana
15. Whitefish, Montana
14. Put-in-Bay, Ohio
13. Nashville, Indiana
12. Bayfield, Wisconsin
11. Edenton, North Carolina
10. Saint Simons Island, Georgia
9. Boonville, Missouri
8. Sevierville, Tennessee
7. Calistoga, California
6. Port Townsend, Washington
5. Cooperstown, New York
4. Traverse City, Michigan
3. Stuart, Florida
2. Nantucket, Massachusetts
1. Estes Park, Colorado

Looking at this cities, I know for sure that I've been to 2.

Cooperstown..... years and years ago, on one of Dad's well-planned family vacations.

Estes Park..... twice..... once on a family vacation and then again on our honeymoon.


A couple of the others (Nashville, Boonville, Traverse City) sound familiar, but I cannot specifically remember being there.


Definitely have not been to Homer.
