Picture 5/23: Wild Hogs Day

It was a fantastic day today, as I was able to do a lot of cool stuff with some of my buddies from work.
(We call ourselves the "Wild Hogs", however we are not particularly wild nor do we drive Harleys -- nor are we pig farmers.)
What did we do?
** Worked as a team to cut down 10+ trees and clean-up the resulting mess of trunks, branches, sticks, and needles
Here is one of the trees that came down:
Using the "counting rings technique", this one was around 29 years old.
** fished for a couple hours; I hooked 6-8 bluegill and sunfish, with another 2 that jumped the hook and 1 that took the hook
We did not catch this farm pond's "Big Willie" though (a grass carp estimated to measure around 30-36 inches, based on visual sightings).
** enjoyed a Normal Cornbelters baseball game
It was a good game (a win), plus Myron Noodleman was there as an added bonus. And we got there early enough for 50%-off food prices! SWEET
Great day.
Beautiful weather.
Awesome experiences.
Fantastic friends.
Out for now......
Matt
