Picture 5/3: Back-up Bell

For some time, I've been looking for a bell to serve as my back-up / "emergency use only" dinger when I ring at the kettle for the Salvation Army each Christmas season.

Why?

Well, strange things can happen.

Like:

- person before me takes the bell with them

- some dastardly individual steals the bell before I get there

- some dastardly individual steals the bell out of my hands (fat chance, sucker!)

- the little thing that makes the bell "ding" falls off

And many other scenarios, of course.

Well, I found my backup:

Only a buck at the thrift shop.

And it's got the perfect Salvation Army kettle pitch.

AWESOME FIND!  I be very happy.
