I was under the deck tonight to fetch some wood and came across this:
A very determined peony.
A very pale peony.
Years ago, we had purchased a couple of peony plants 50% off at Farm-n-Fleet and planted them alongside our old deck.
They never got very tall.
Last summer, the old deck was ripped off (http://matthonnold.blogspot.com/2014/08/test.html?m=1). We didn't really think about the peony plants. Guess we figured they wouldn't make it thru construction.
Well obviously they did.
Wonder if they'll get high enough to stick thru the slats of the deck?
