Honorable 57

I learned an interesting stat today.

The Fortune 500 list has been around since 1955.

And during the 61 years since, only 57 companies have made the Fortune 500 every single year.

They are referred to as "The Honorable 57".

"These businesses have weathered economic turmoil and rapid innovation in their industries. They’ve survived boardroom battles and bankruptcies. All the while, they’ve maintained a spot among the cream of the corporate crop, year after year, for six decades."

And how about this......

"The industry sector with the most Honorable 57 companies is food and beverage, with 10, led by food processing and storage giant Archer Daniels Midland and Pepsi."

Decatur's own ADM.  Although they've now moved their Global HQ to Chicago, they will always be a Decatur company.

Too much of their success is directly because of what Decatur has given and provided thru the years.

Others in the 57:  GM, GE, IBM, Coca-Cola, DuPont.

Good stuff.

Out for now......
