The legislators in Springfield think they need a pay raise?
A pay raise for what?
They have continuously proven that they are a gang of misdirected individuals with little desire to do "the right thing" (i.e. take steps to balance the budget and keep the bills paid).
And their leadership is worthless, leading to little to no focus on responsibly taking care of the people's business and the welfare of the state.

To me, the governor is spot-on:
"If they're going to take a $1,300 pay increase for themselves for part-time work, they should start earning that pay hike by meeting with us and getting reforms to our government." (Governor Bruce Rauner)
