It's the end of an era for a well-used, trusty yard tool.
Tonight, I suffered a rake brake.
As you can see, the pole didn't brake.
The reason: metal fatigue.
We've had this rake since we lived on Colorado Drive in Decatur, making it well over 10 years old.
For now, I'll use the nice plastic rake that I got at Farm-n-Fleet a couple years back.
At some point, I'll likely have to replace this one though.
Guess I'll be watching for a used rake at rummage sales and resale stores.
