They say there is a first time for everything.
And tonight, the Honnold family had a first:
Yes, a piñata.
Our eighth-grader had some friends stay the night to celebrate her birthday. One of the things she wanted to do was break a piñata.
So we found one at the party store, and the girls all took turns smacking the poor fish around.
In the end, it's tail ripped off, revealing all the goodies inside.
The whole process gave everyone some good laughs, which made it all worth it.
