We had to drive home a loaner car last night:
A loaner from my in-laws.
We got back to their house around 11PM (after fireworks), and our van started smoking from underneath the hood.
The cause: coolant leaking onto a hot part of the engine.
The van will be fixed by their mechanic in Delavan. Then we'll pick it up Monday on our way to Peoria for my brother and sister-in-laws' going-away party.
So thankful that we caught the issue in their driveway, rather than getting stranded on a dark, rural highway.
Life happens, right? :)
