This is my assigned corner.

Main and Stevens in Decatur.

In about an hour, a bunch of 5K'ers will be running past.

My mission:  prevent any from getting squished, squashed, or smooshed.

At this intersection at least.

I have no control over what happens down the road.  :)

The United Way gave me a barricade and a yellow vest in order to perform this task.

Hopefully the residents of Stevens are calm, polite, and understanding.  

And respect the vest.
