I was filling up with gas at Casey's and happened to spot this little hopper:
Around here, it does not seem that this has been a bad year for grasshoppers.
We've seen a few in the backyard, but not near as many as in prior summers.
This guy was solo, just sitting comfortably on the radio ad on top of the pump. He was pretty big, but I have no idea how old that means he is.
Maybe a youngster. Maybe a senior.
Nonetheless, although tempted, I left him alone.
Out for now.......
