My alma mater in beautiful Charleston Illinois has unveiled their brand new logo.

I think it is a cool new look and is quite the improvement.
2 questions though:
1) why did they have the logo unveiling right in the middle of fall semester.... and the middle of several sports' seasons?
2) do they realize how close the new EIU panther resembles the "Nittany Lion" of Penn State? Look at the lion:
At least the panther doesn't have the deer in headlights look.
