Teacher Shortage

This is so very concerning for the youth of Illinois...... the future of Illinois.......

Majority of Illinois school districts having trouble filling positions

This gets back to the old "garbage in, garbage out" philosophy.

If there is a shortage of applicants for an open position, superintendents and school boards must "settle" for a candidate, rather than getting quality material.

Basically, having to fill a spot with a less-than-ideal educator.

2nd tier, if you will.

An educator who has more heart for a paycheck than heart for his/her students.

An educator who is underqualified, disengaged, aloof, ineffective, unresponsive, boring.

A sitter rather than an educator.

"Garbage in, garbage out."  See what I mean now?

The students suffer.  Sad.

Out for now......
