Thoughts from Hockey

Some thoughts from last night's hockey game over at the U of I Ice Arena.......

- is there anything that can be done to freshen-up that really strong sweat/socks/feet smell ?

- wonder if the opposing goalie's self-esteem takes a blow when he hears chants of "YOU SUCK" and "IT'S YOUR FAULT" ?

- when and why did the replace the Ice Arena's many windows with wood ?  I'm sure there was a good reason (energy efficiency?) but the beauty of the building sure took a hit.

- that Zamboni driver really enjoys the work he's doing.  (honking the horn during the playing of "Sweet Caroline" was an awesome deal)

- one of the best parts of the experience is when the 3 officials come out on the fresh ice and race around at full speed (prior to the teams returning)

- fights at hockey games sure make kids smile

What a great time we had!!
