Wonder who is the most popular Sesame Street character ever ?

Some might argue this guy:

Especially in the last decade, the little red monster known as Elmo has sold a lot of toys and DVDs.

If you look more "old school", there's Bert and Ernie, Grover, Oscar the Grouch, and Cookie Monster.

My money would be on one of these 2:

To me, as a kid growing up, Big Bird and Kermit were Sesame Street.

And they continue to be relevant today, 35 years later.
