Many moons ago, we picked-up this little piece of pewter artwork:
I love it.
A dad..... teaching his kiddo to ride a bike.
Just as we've done with our first 2 daughters.
And now, our third-grader -- with the help of TLMH -- has learned how to ride hers as well.
We'd bought her a bigger bike last year to encourage her to get aboard, but that did not work.
Then suddenly, last Sunday, she decided that now is the time. She conquered her fear of falling and is doing a wonderful job.
Back to the figurine.......
With all 3 daughters now riding, yet another parenting milestone has passed.
To me, this makes the figurine even more special.
Reminiscent of days that are gone.
And skills that have been passed.
Sadness, yet satisfaction.
Memories that will always remain.
