Just finished a sad book:

A deaf, "feeble-minded" boy found wandering the streets of Jacksonville IL back in 1945.

No one knew who he was.

He couldn't communicate who he was.

No one reported him missing.

Becoming a ward of the state, "John Doe #24" spent the next 5 decades transitioning from facility to facility.

Lincoln.
Jacksonville.
Springfield.
Even some time out in New York state.

He spent his last years in Peoria, which is also where he remains today:

What a sad story.

Yet, what an inspiring life.

These 2 sentences from the book say so much:

Out for now........

Matt
