Today, the lovely Mrs. Honnold and I visited Finders Market out on the Farm Progress Show (Progress City USA) grounds.
Saw a lot of cool things, including this neato chair made by hand completely out of old tools and parts-n-pieces:
It reminded me of one that I'd spotted over at the Covered Bridge Festival back in 2014:
The Finders Market has done a really good job at screening vendors in order to keep the event focus on:
- crafts
- handmade items (clothing, food, household needs, etc.)
- antiques
There is very little "rummage" and ZERO booths featuring name-brand knock-offs or "Made in China" junk.
We hope the successes of Finders continue to blossom.
Definitely has the potential to turn into a regional hot-spot -- yet another grand event for Decatur to be known for.
