Just a few weeks remain until the Rio Olympics.
But seriously........
Can they successfully pull these off with all that Brazil has faced and/or is facing?
- government turmoil/corruption, including impeachment proceedings on their President
- construction scandals, delays and cost overruns
- nasty polluted water
- Zika (and other mosquito-borne illness)
- security concerns :: street gangs, crime, terrorism
- economic meltdown :: recession, unemployment
- hospitals shuttered
- education funding cut
- crumbling infrastructure
Until recently, ticket sales have even been lagging way behind forecast.
Wow, this will be a challenge for a country that is very challenged right now.
