We have done some remodeling of our front porch.

Including the removal of this:

Original to the house (1995), we presume.

As anyone who has painted spindles knows, it was a very difficult task to get this painted correctly.

Plus, the paint just did not seem to want to hold well to this wood.

So we've gone maintenance-free now.

I'm told that the spindles' life will live on, however, in the form of a craft project.

Looks like I get to do some destruction!

Out for now.......
