WSOY here in Decatur does a great job lining-up/promoting/supporting local programming each weekday at 5pm.
Right now, they've got a super line-up of 5 shows (1 per day), all hosted by local folks.
I listen to each on my way home from work Mon-Fri, and here's my ranking of them from 5 (good) to 1 (FANTASTIC!!!):
#5: "Big Blue Hour" on Friday (covers Millikin sports)
#4: "Pharmacy Facts with Friends" on Tuesday (features Dale Colee and his pharmacy family)
#3: "Soy City Buzz" on Monday (the 5:05-5:15 segment with either Cyrus the Sports Sage or Tom McNamara is FANTASTIC)
#2: "Sporttalk" on Thursday (features 2 of the best media/sports guys in Central Illinois: Mark Tupper & Tim Cain)
And at the top of my favorites:
#1: "Direct Line" on Wednesday (hosted by Wayne Kent of Decatur's First Christian Church)
