Picture 10/27: Garden of Volunteers

One of my favorite things about having a garden:
"season 2"
"the second generation"
"garden rebirth"

All summer long, blooms fall and seeds scatter from the flowers that were planted in April.

And some of those scattered seeds sprout.

And some of those sprouts survive and end-up becoming "the new crop":

That's my garden.

The first generation sunflowers and zinnias are gone.

And a new bunch of zinnias and marigolds (plus a morning glory or 2) have taken root.

It's a wild and crazy mess.

Total randomness.

But I love it.

First frost is right around the corner though.

Out for now.......
