Came across this beautiful Instagram post from an old friend.
Oh how I can relate:
Substitute "Daddyhood" for "Motherhood", and this is 100% me.
It is a tough job.
So happy to see them growing up.
So sad to see them growing up.
Knowing they must grow up.
Knowing that their time as full-time residents in our house is well-past half-over.
Knowing that as time passes and we all grow older, we will continue to grow closer together.
It's emotional.
And I struggle mightily sometimes.
Knowing they are under God's protection and blessing brings peace.
But doesn't stop the tears.
