Millionaires moving from mansion to modest.

It's temporary:

The Carriage House alone at the Illinois Executive Mansion is nearly as large as the Director's House at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, where Gov. Bruce Rauner and first lady Diana Rauner plan to relocate during an estimated $15 million mansion restoration that begins next year. The Rauners are scheduled to move their Springfield residence in January. Public tours of the mansion will be suspended for the year-and-a-half project.

More on this story:

With Guv Rauner, it's sometimes very difficult to tell what's done out of sincerity and what's done out of political motivation.

However, I am very pleased to see them staying in Springfield -- into a house already owned by the state.

(A tiny house.)

He'll be closer to the action and more accessible by living in Springfield as opposed to moving back up north.

I view that as good governing.  Kudos governor!

Out for now......
