We were back home today for a pre-Thanksgiving visit with Dad and Mom.
After lunch, on our way to the farm, we dropped by Harmony Cemetery to walk the girls around, visiting the stones of our ancestors.
One of my favorites:
He would have only been 17-19 years old during his Civil War service.
Wonder what action he saw?
Wonder how the experience impacted him the rest of his life?
Definitely one of the darkest times in U.S. history.
