Picture 1/25: Christmas ABC

January 25
(year 4, picture 25)

We were at my in-laws tonight, so a couple of us dropped by the Little Free Library in their neighborhood.

There wasn't much of an interesting selection (at least by our definition of "interesting") so we traded for this 1960's relic:

I figured wifey might be able to use it in her Christmas decorating next year.

By the way...... in case you are wondering:

Mary is featured on the "V" page as "Virgin Mary".

(the "M" page went to "Manger")

Joseph -- not Jesus -- got the "J" page.

Despite that, they gave Jesus 2 pages: "C" for Child and "R" for Redeemer.

And what about the "odd" letters of the alphabet -- how do they fit into the Christmas story?

K: King David's city (Bethlehem)

Q: Quest (of the Wise Men)

U: Universe

X: Greek letter Chi (i.e. X-mas)

Y: You (as in, the good news of Christmas is for you)

Z: Zechariah

Out for now.......

Matt
