I know this has to happen occasionally:
But it still tugs at my heart a little bit every time it does.
I'll explain......
Our 4th grader has always been a collector of stuffed animals A/K/A "special friends".
Every once in awhile, she goes thru those animals and selects several to "weed" from her collection.
Why does this affect me?
2 reasons:
1) she always has a cheerfulness as she does this, happy to know that her friends are being donated to help others and may end up as another's "special friend"
2) simply put: she's growing up, and as she grows-up, her collection grows-up with her
